Had a fabulous day yesterday at the National Space Centre in Leicester. The Centre is hosting a series of science fiction-relates events exploring the relationship between science and SF, and on Saturday they invited me, along with two other authors — Kim Lakin-Smith and Gareth L Powell — to take part in an afternoon of panels, interviews, and readings, culminating in a signing event.
Thanks to everyone who came along to support us. There were many familiar faces and — as became clear during the book signings — a number of new ones.
I couldn’t have asked for a better first public engagement of 2013; if all the others prove this enjoyable and this rewarding, it promises to be a very good year. The only thing missing was a pub near by for us all to retreat to at the end!
